Practical travel photography for real people — especially those of us over 50 — who want memories worth keeping.

Travel Light. Shoot Smart.

You already carry the most powerful camera you've ever owned — right in your pocket.

With a half-decent smartphone, iPhone or Android, you can take thoughtful, beautiful photos of people, places, and moments without hauling heavy gear or learning camera jargon.

I'll show you how to slow down just enough to see the picture before you press the button — whether it's a quiet street, a weathered face, or the view that made you stop walking.

No hype. No tech headaches. Just simple, practical ways to take better photos while you travel.

This is photography for real people — especially those of us over 50 — who want memories worth keeping.

Meet Len

Hi, I'm Len Phillips.

For more than forty years I made my living as a professional photographer.

These days, I'm retired — but my passion for travel and photography is as strong as ever.

Over the years I've learnt something surprising… The best travel photograph isn't usually taken with the biggest camera. It's taken by the person who notices the moment.

That's why this website isn't about expensive equipment. It's about travelling lighter, seeing more, and returning home with photographs that bring back memories — not just pictures.

If I can help you enjoy your travels a little more and take a few better photographs along the way, then this website has done its job.

Welcome aboard.

About Lady Anne

Meet Lady Anne

Every successful expedition has someone quietly making sure the wheels don't fall off. For us, that's Lady Anne.

While I'm often looking for interesting light and photographs, Anne is doing exactly the same thing. She's not just the planner and organiser of our travels — she's a photographer in her own right.

One of the things that still amazes us is how often we'll wander off with our cameras, each seeing the world through our own eyes. Then, when we compare photographs, we discover we've been drawn to almost exactly the same scene. Sometimes Anne has zoomed in where I've gone wider. Sometimes I've noticed a little more of the surroundings while she's captured the detail. Different perspectives… but the same moment.

Perhaps that's one reason we enjoy travelling together so much. We don't just visit places — we experience them together.

Anne has also mastered the practical side of travel. She's the planner, the organiser and the quiet problem solver who somehow manages to fit everything into carry-on luggage while making sure our journeys run smoothly.

On this website she'll be sharing practical travel ideas, packing tips, destination notes and the lessons we've learned after many years exploring the world together.

Together, we hope to help you travel lighter, see more, and come home with photographs and memories you'll treasure.
